Alexandria's future female leaders were feted at the 2023 Alexandria Celebrates Women Awards June 28 at the Athenaeum.

Six up-and-coming young women leaders were selected to be honored at this year’s awards with a reception held to benefit the Alexandria Domestic Violence Safehouse.

“We are so proud to showcase these young future leaders,” said ACW chair Pat Miller. “Each is extraordinary in their own amazing personal contributions.”

Vice Mayor Amy Jackson and Delegate Elizabeth Bennett-Parker were on hand as ACW recognized the accomplishments of Ariana Attidore, Eliza Gwin, Zahra Rahimi, Betty Amron, Sarah Porter and Elizabeth Rutter.

Bennett-Parker served as emcee and Metro Voices, the women’s choir affiliated with the Alexandria Harmonizers, provided entertainment.

Alexandria Celebrates Women is a volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of Alexandria’s women of the past, present and future. For more information on this year’s ACW honorees, visit www.AlexandriaCelebratesWomen.com
